The SiteMap Path Control

The TreeView shows the available pages, but it does not indicate where you are currently positioned. To solve this problem, it is common to use the TreeView in conjunction with the SiteMapPath Control which is used for displaying navigation information.

The SiteMapPath provides breadcrumb navigation, which means it shows the current location and allow you to navigate up to the hierarchy to a higher level by using links.

The purpose of this type of navigation is to show you where you are in relation to the rest of the site. The SiteMapPath control is so easy to work with that it does not even require a data source control to attach it up to the Web.sitemap file where it surmise all its information.

Here we will show an example having the SiteMapPath Control in the page. Let’s see All the Views: DesignView, CodeView and the Output on the Browser.
