AMD Navi 14 RX “5600” Series GPU Leaked

Just a little over two weeks back we reported on the plethora of AMD Radeon RX 5000 series graphics cards that were leaked by AMD’s leading Add-In-Board partner Sapphire. Which included the Radeon RX 5900 series, 5800 series, 5700 series and 5600 series. The leaked graphics card SKUs ,which were registered by Sapphire as product trademarks, were largely believed to be simple placeholders.

Although, as it turns out, those placeholders are quickly materializing into actual real-world products. Starting with the company’s brand new Navi 14 graphics processor, which should slot-in right below the RX 5700 series and likely power the RX 5600 series.

AMD Navi 14 RX “5600” Series GPU Leaked – 24 CUs, 1536 SPs @ 1900MHz

This leak comes courtesy of venerable leaker Komachi who has spotted a peculiar entry on Compubench of a Radeon graphics processor based on AMD’s brand new RDNA architecture.
The entry is of Navi 14, AMD’s new mainstream GPU based on the 7nm process. This chip is built on 7nm, just like its bigger brother Navi 10 which powers the RX 5700 series.

Navi 14 features 24 RDNA compute units, each housing 64 stream processors, for a total of 1536 SPs. The GPU also features a maximum clock speed of 19000 MHz. The specifications indicate that we’re likely looking at an NVIDIA GTX 1660 series competitor and should be noticeably cheaper than the Radeon RX 5700 XT and Radeon RX 5700.

People have been clamoring for more affordable Navi graphics cards, and it appears they are indeed coming.
