Recently, people have been asking for laptops rocking a dual screen design and HP delivered. They announced the Omen X 2S 15. A laptop that features a regular design with the keyboard shifted down and the trackpad moved to the right of the keyboard to allow for a second display. This is the newest trend with laptops and Dell is planning on doing this later with two full-size displays.

The Omen X 2S 15 key feature is the second screen it has. The screen is 6 inches with 1080p resolution and is located above the keyboard. It is also touchscreen display and they say it is well suited to keep up with Twitch, Discord, and Spotify. To allow for this configuration, HP shifted the trackpad to the right of the keyboard similar to the ROG Zephryus S GX701 and GX501.
Another key feature is HP’s Tempest Cooling implementation. It may not be the biggest feature, but it does help with performance. It features 3-sided venting for 5-way airflow and a 12V fan module with a 3-phase motor and fluid dynamic bearings. They have also partnered with Thermal Grizzly to put Conductonaut liquid as their thermal grease which is the best on the market.
The other features on this laptop include a 17” screen that is either 1080p or 4K. The refresh rate is 144Hz and works in tandem with G-SYNC. The laptop is configurable up to 2080 Max-Q and Intel Core i9. It also features up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and accelerated storage options including PCIe SSD, RAID 0, and Intel Teton Glacier Optane. HP claims there is easy access HDD, SSD, and RAM for easy upgrades when it is necessary. This laptop is also packed with ports which are three USB 3 Type A, one HDMI 2.0B, one USB-C, gigabit ethernet, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing for the Omen X 2S 15 is $2,099 for the base model and will be available in June. The 240Hz version will be available in July. I am kind of disappointed because this is advertised as two screens, but the second is only .2 inches larger than an iPhone X screen.
