The Fashion Kingdom, the Egyptian fashion startup raises $2.6 million

Launched in July 2020 by Fadi Antaki, Marianne Simaika and Karim Abd El Kader, The Fashion Kingdom is an e-commerce platform dedicated to fashion. The startup’s objective? To make it easier to buy clothes online in Egypt. Despite the difficulties encountered, the hard work of this trio has paid off. The proof is that The Fashion Kingdom recently raised $2.6 million in seed funding!

The Fashion Kingdom, combining technology and fashion

Inaccurate data, unreliable customer service, blurred photographs, unclear sizing, complicated return processes… Faced with this complexity of selling fashion products on the internet, Fadi Antaki, Marianne Simaika and Karim Abd El Kader decided to join forces and create the startup The Fashion Kingdom. An e-commerce platform that brings together the best international and local fashion brands. The founders are also committed to ensuring that the products are of good quality with affordable prices.

Everything is also carefully orchestrated when it comes to payment and delivery! The Fashion Kingdom offers fast delivery and several payment options. “You can shop at your convenience, pay in cash or by instalments and our promise is to deliver what you buy within a few days. Our goal is your satisfaction and pleasure,” the group says on its website.

The Fashion Kingdom (TFK) in figures

The year of the pandemic saw e-commerce grow dramatically in Africa. A favourable timing for the startup which has positioned itself perfectly, to the point of becoming THE reference for fashion fans! All this, of course, under the watchful eye of investors, most of whom seem to have been won over since TFK managed to raise $2.6 million in seed funding.

TFK is growing at an average rate of 12.5% per month, with 40% of sales coming from repeat customers. This is high by industry standards. In total, the platform has more than 200 merchants and intends to become the undisputed leader in this sector in Egypt.
