Bridgerton stars Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton answered questions about the upcoming third series on Saturday.
The Irish actress, 35, gave a sneak peak of Lady Whistledown’s first column whilst the actor, 29, admitted that fans of the show take frustrations out on him over Colin and Penelope’s romance.
Sitting down for a painting session with Claudia Jessie, they ‘put brush to canvas’ and divulged some details about their characters.

Narrating the clip in true Bridgerton style, Nicola, asked: ‘Would you like to hear what Lady Whistledown had to say about Bridgerton season three?’
Luke and Claudia nod in agreement before she begins: ‘Dearest gentle reader we have been apart fro far too long, at last London’s smart set has made its return, and so too has this author.
‘As the season begins, the question on everyone’s minds is of course, which newly minted debutant will shine the brightest.’

She concluded: ‘The crop this year appears to be rather dazzling indeed, unfortunately not every young lady can attract the light.’
Elsewhere, Claudia, who plays Eloise the fifth Bridgerton child, asked Luke, who stars as her on-screen brother Colin: ‘Why can’t Colin see that Penelope [Featherington] is his true love match?’
Pondering the reason as they painted, Luke responded: ‘Well they met so young in the cutest way possible, it’s such a lovely story the way they met, but there’s a lot going on and they can’t see what right in front of them.

According to Variety, she said: ‘Like Lady Whistledown, I have been keeping a secret for quite some time and I can confirm to you all that season 3 is Colin and Penelope’s love story. I have kept that secret since two weeks into season 2.’

The show is fast forwarding ahead and skipping the third book, for now, in order to delve into the fourth book’s romance of Colin and Penelope for season three.
