Sidney Poitier’s daughters exuded glamour as they attended the premiere of the film Sidney – a documentary about their late father’s life. 

Sherri, Beverly, Sydney, Anika and Pamela Poitier all posed together at the star-studded event in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Sydney, 48, named after her father, looked sensational in a teal midi dress with a pleated hemline.

The actress added height to her frame with a pair of open-toed heels while she styled her locks into a ponytail.

Beverly, 69, opted for a white strapless gown which she paired with a matching sheer shawl.

Letting her tresses fall loose down her shoulders, she also wore a diamond necklace for the premiere.

Anika, 50, turned heads in a navy long-sleeved dress with a pleated detail and scooped neckline.

The star also wore a pair of open-toed heels and styled her locks into loose curls for the evening.

Sherri opted for a brown and gold top with a floral patterned detail and a gold tassel embellishment, which she paired with a dark skirt.

Pamela donned a black sleeveless dress and added to the outfit withj a white clutch bag.

Sidney was also father to a sixth daughter, Gina, who passed away in 2018 aged 57, with the cause of her death never publicly revealed.

Sidney made its much-anticipated debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in early September, which sadly came eight months after Poitier’s death at the age of 94. 

It tells the story of the life and career of heralded actor and director, who has the distinguished honor of being the first Black actor to win the Academy Award for Best Actor.

The film, which had been in development and production for five years, takes a wide-ranging look at his lif.

It is told in linear fashion and narrated by the actor himself through the use of eight hours of interview footage done in 2012 with Oprah Winfrey, as well as other archival interviews.

Sidney had a film career spanning more than five decades and was known for being the first black actor to win the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1964.

One of the last major stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood, he passed away on January 6, 2022 aged 94.
